- I’m using Bernat softee baby cotton weight 3 light/DK 254 yards/232 meter for each skein
- Color pictured – Cotton
- Crochet hook size 5 mm
- Scissors
- Yarn needle

- ch = chain
- hdc = half double crochet
- st = stitch(es)
- sk = skip
- rep = repeat
- rs = right side
- ws = wrong side
- Yo = yarn over
- dc3tog = double crochet 3 stitches together: Yo insert hook into the st, Yo pull up a loop, Yo pull through 2 loops, Yo insert hook into next st, Yo pull up a loop, Yo pull through 2 loops, Yo insert hook into next st, Yo pull up a loop, Yo pull through all loops on hook.
Notes:
- This pattern made as us women’s XS( S, M, L, XL, XXL )
- The front and back panel are made the same
- In this picture I have demonstrated with size S
Gauge unblocked: 15 hdc x 10 rows = 4″
Sizes and measurements (These are measured before blocking/washing. Keep in mind that your tank top will stretch out a couple inches after you block/wash it) *The length also depends on how you tie the knot/bow. You can adjust to fit exactly the way you like it.
- XS = 13.33″ Width x 13.6″ Length (280 yards of yarn)
- S = 14.4″ Width x 14.8″ Length (320 yards of yarn)

Pattern ( Make 2 )
Row 1 ( rs ): ch 51( 55, 63, 67, 75, 79 ),1 hdc into second ch from hook and each ch st across. Total of 50( 54, 62, 66, 74, 78 ) st
Row 2 ( ws ): Turn, ch 1 ( do not count as a st ), 1 hdc into each st across.
Total of 50( 54, 62, 66, 74, 78 ) st
Row 3 – 18( 20, 22, 24, 26, 28 ) rep row 2
*If you want a longer top or even a dress, just keep adding more rows before we separate the upper left and right side.
Upper left side ( when you wear it )
Row 19( 21, 23, 25, 27, 29 ): Turn, ch 1 ( do not count as a st ),sk first st, 1 hdc into each of next 22( 24, 28, 30, 34, 36 ) st, sk next st, 1 hdc into next st.
Total of 23( 25, 29, 31, 35, 37 ) st
Row 20( 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 ): Turn, ch 1 ( do not count as a st ), sk first st, 1 hdc into each st until you have 2 st left, sk next st, 1 hdc into last st.
Total of 21( 23, 27, 29, 33, 35 ) st

Row 60( 63, 67, 70, 74, 77 ): Turn, ch 1 ( do not count as a st ), dc3tog, ch 1, cut the yarn and weave the end.
Upper right side ( when you wear it )
Begin adding new yarn and repeat the same pattern when you make the upper left side.

Joining the pieces together
Cut a new strand of yarn 20-50 inches long, enough to sew the bottom up to the armpit where we began making the upper left and right side. ( check picture below)
Take the back and front panel, place them together with correct sides facing each other, sew using method of choice.
