Works nicely with a gradient yarn cake, like a Scheepjes Whirl, but why not try it with a scrap bust or in a single colour, using a new colour for each area. Just use any yarn of your choice, 4ply fingering weight.

Special Stitches
- V-st – (dc, ch 1, dc) in same stitch or chain space
- Cluster – dc 3 together in same stitch – [yarn round hook, insert hook into stitch/space indicated, yarn round hook, pull loop through, yarn round hook, pull through 2 loops] 3 times in same stitch/space, yarn round hook, pull through all 4 loops.
- shell – (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in same stitch or space.
- CL3 – (cluster, ch 3, cluster, ch 3, cluster) in same stitch or space.
- Pop – Popcorn – 5 dc in same stitch, remove hook from loop, insert hook from front to back through top of first dc, put loop from the 5th dc back on the hook, yarn round hook and pull through both.
- picot – chain 3, slip stitch in top of last dc made.

- Even numbered rows are right side rows.
- The shawl is worked from the top down, stitch increase with each row. The ch 2 is in
bold – this signifies the centre spine of the shawl. The pattern is mirrored either side
