This delightfully textured shawl is made with basic stitches to amazing effect. I hope your passion of custard cream is equal to mine!
I had 960 metres of yarn in all, with tassels, remaining on a Scheepjes Whirl. The Whirl is four ply and 1000 meters long overall.
The finished dimensions of the shawl, after blocking, are 184 cm by 70 cm. It is worked down from center top.

Finishing
Block the shawl and add a tassel to each of the three corners.

Make 3 Tassels

Using a 15cm notebook or something similar as a guide, wrap the yarn around approx. 40-80 times, depending how much yarn you have left
Cut the strands at one end and using a strand of yarn around 30cm long, tie the bundle in the middle to secure
Fold the tassel in half leaving the strands used to tie the bunch, these will be used to attach the tassel to your shawl.
Now to wrap the tassels, leave a strand of about 15cm, then start wrapping tightly about 1.5-2cm away from the top of the tassel.
Use a needle to darn in the two ends to secure the wrap
trim the edge to neaten and attach one tassel to each corner of the shawl using the two strands to secure.
