Crochet PATTERN baby blanket, hat and cardigan set. ♥♥♥ The pattern is written in US crochet terms but with a conversion chart at the beginning of the pattern to UK / Australian terms. Its just that some of the names of the stitches are different

MATERIALS & TOOLS YOU WILL NEED:

  • Acrylic or other yarn approx. 250gr – 300gr in grey, baby blue and white colours – DK, Double Knitting in UK, Light Worsted in the USA, 8ply in Australia.
  • Crochet hook sizes recommended 5 mm and 5.5 mm.
  • 3 buttons
  • Yarn needle to weave in ends.

ABBREVIATIONS:

  • ST – stitch
  • SS – slip stitch
  • CH – chain
  • CH SP – chain space
  • SC – single crochet (double crochet for UK/Australia)
  • DC – double crochet (treble crochet for UK/Australia)

Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern

Use grey yarn, crochet hook size 5.5 mm. CH3, join with SS in first CH to form a ring.

ROUND 1: CH3 (counts as first DC), DC 11 in the ring, SS in top of beg CH3. (12 ST)

ROUND 2: CH3, 2DC in same ST, DC in next 2 ST, 5DC in next ST – it will be the 1st corner of the blanket, DC in next 2 ST, 5DC in next ST – 2nd corner, DC in next 2 ST, 5DC in next ST – 3rd corner, DC in next 2 ST, 2DC in next ST where is first CH3 and 2DC, join with SS in CH3 – 4th corner.

ROUND 3: CH3, 2DC in same ST, DC in next 6 ST, 5DC in next ST (in 3rd DC of 5DC corner stitches of previous round) – corner, DC in next 6 ST, 5DC in next ST – corner, DC in next 6 ST, 5DC in next ST – corner, DC in next 6 ST, 2DC in next ST where is first CH3 and 2DC, join with SS in CH3 – corner.

ROUNDS 5 – 28: repeat round 4, each successive round will increase, please see COLOURS PATTERN below.

Make another sleeve the same. Sew the buttons to one side of the cardigan to correspond with buttonholes.

APPLIQUE FOR CARDIGAN
