Crochet PATTERN baby blanket, cardigan and bonnet set. ♥♥♥ The pattern is written in US crochet terms but with a conversion at the beginning of the pattern to UK / Australian terms. Its just that some of the names of the stitches are different.
MATERIALS & TOOLS YOU WILL NEED:
- Acrylic or other yarn 300 – 350 gr approx. – DK, Double Knitting in UK, Light Worsted in the USA, 8ply in Australia.
- Crochet hook sizes recommended 4.5 mm and 6 mm.
- Yarn needle to weave in ends (optional).
ABBREVIATIONS:

BLANKET PATTERN SIZES 27”x 27” (70cm x 70cm) and 31”x 31” (80cm x 80cm)
Use crochet hook size J 6mm, lilac yarn. CH5, join with SS to first CH to form a ring.
ROUND 1: CH3 (counts as a double in this and all following rounds), 2DC in ring, (CH3, 3DC in ring), repeat 3 more times, CH3; join with SS in 3rd CH of beg CH3.
ROUND 2: SS in next 2 ST, SS in next CH3 SP, CH3, in same CH SP work (2DC, CH3, 3DC): corner made, CH1,* skip next 3 DC, in next CH3 SP work (3DC, 3CH, 3 DC): corner made, CH1, repeat from * 2 more times, skip next 3 DC, join with SS in 3rd CH of beg CH3.

Repeat rounds until blanket is the required size. Each successive round will have one additional 3DC group between corners. For the blanket size 27”x 27”(70cm x 70cm) must be 24 rounds before border, for the size 31”x 31”(80cm x 80cm) must be 28 rounds before border.
This pattern is easily expanded to make a blanket size you need, just remember please once again: The number of the rows before border row must be even e.g. 24, 26, 28 rows etc.
BORDER: SS in next 2 ST, SS in corner space, CH3, in same space work 10DC (11DC ON ALL CORNERS): corner made, CH1, SC into next CH1 space, CH1, work 6DC into next CH1 space, CH1, repeat around the blanket. Fasten off and weave in ends.
