Materials
Red Heart Super Saver Economy Plus Yarn

Size Directions

Cups (make 2)
Round 1: With white yarn, ch (15, 16, 17, 18).
Turn and dc in 4th ch from hook and in each
st across. (13, 14, 15, 16).
Round 2: Ch 2, turn and dc in each st across.
When you arrive at the final st, inc five dc into
the SIDE of the last dc (see picture 1), and
then, working underneath your previous
stitches (the other side of the foundation ch),
dc across until you arrive at the other end of
the foundation ch (underneath your very first
dc). (31, 33, 35, 37).
Round 3: Ch 2, turn, dc in next st and in each
st around until you arrive at the 3rd st of your
previous 5 inc. In the 3rd st, inc 5 (see picture
2). Continue to dc around until you reach the
opposite end (your last st should be directly
underneath your first st of the round). (35, 37,
39, 41).
Round 4: repeat round 3. (39, 41, 43, 45)
Round 5: Ch 2, turn, dc in next st and in each
st across, stopping 4 st away from the 3rd st
in last round’s 5-inc. Ch 4, dc-inc 5 into the 3rd st
of last round’s 5-inc. Ch 4, skip over 4 st and dc
into the 5th st from your hook and in each st
across. (43, 45, 47, 49)
Round 6: Ch 2, turn, dc in next st and in each st
across, stopping 3 st away from where last round’s
ch-4 begins. Ch 7, dc-inc 5 into the 3rd st of last
round’s 5-inc. Ch 7, skip over 7 st (4ch + 3st) and
dc into the 8th st from your hook and in each st
across. (43, 45, 47, 49). For size XS, f/o weave in
ends. Continue on for sizes S, M or L.
Round 7: Ch 2, turn, dc in next st and in each st
across, stopping 3 st away from where last round’s
ch-3 begins. Ch 10, dc-inc 5 into the 3rd st of last
round’s 5-inc. Ch 10, skip over 10 st (7ch + 3st)
and dc into the 11th st from your hook and in each
st across. (45, 47, 49). For size S, f/o weave in
ends. Continue on for sizes M or L
Round 8: Ch 2, turn, dc in next st and in each st
stopping 3 st away from where last round’s
ch-3 begins. Ch 13, dc-inc 5 into the 3rd st of
last round’s 5-inc. Ch 13, skip over 13 st (10ch 3st)
and dc into the 14th st from your hook
and in each st across. (47, 49). For size M, f/o
weave in ends. Continue on for size L
Round 9: repeat round 3. (49) f/o and weave
in ends.
use your tapestry needle to sew both of
your cups together at the tips, connecting
each of their last row’s 5-inc together. Weave
in ends. The rest of the top will be worked off
of the cups connected together
Top Portion
Round 1: Sl st into the corner of either cups. Turn so you are facing the two cups’ connection point and the other cup’s edge. Dc across until you are 10 st away from the cups’
connection point. Ch 4, dc into the 5th st from hook (can be a dc or a ch depending on the size you’re working on). Ch 4, dc into the middle of the cups’ connection point (where you sewed them together). Ch 4, dc into the 5th st from hook (either a ch or dc). Ch 4, dc in the 5th st from hook and in
each st across. (41, 43, 45, 47).
Round 2: Ch 2, turn, dc across, stopping 3 st away from last round’s ch. Ch 10, dc into the center dcst from last round (the one that was in the cups’ connection point). Ch 10, skip over last round’s (ch 4, dc, ch 4) combo and dc into the 3rd st from the last ch you see (essentially skipping over 13 st and dc-ing into the 14th st from your hook). Dc in each st across. (35, 37, 40, 43).
Round 3: Ch 2, turn, dc across, stopping 3 st away from last round’s ch. Ch 10, dc into the center dcst. Ch 10, skip over last round’s ch-10 and 3 more st, dc-ing into the 4th st from last round’s ch-10 (essentially skipping over 13 st and dc-ing into the 14th st from your hook. Dc in each st across. (29,31, 33, 35).
Round 4: Repeat round 3. (26, 28, 30, 32).
**optional step: to clean up the edges of your top, you can turn at the end of round 4 to face the short edge of the cup and dc across the edge, in order to have a neat border. Repeat
this on the other cup too, if doing it here. When finished with this or with round 4, f/o and weave in ends.
Bottom Portion
Round 1: Sl st into the bottom corner of either top. Ch 2, turn, dc across, stopping two st away from the cups’ connection point. Ch 4, skip over 4 st and dc into the 5th st from your
hook and in each st across. (42, 44, 46, 48).
Round 2: Ch 2, turn, dc in next st from hook and in each st across, stopping two st away from last round’s ch. Ch 8, skip over 8 st and dc into the 9th st from your hook and in each st
across. (42, 44, 46, 48)
Round 3: Ch 2, turn, dc in next st from hook and in each st across, stopping two st away from last round’s ch. Ch 12, skip over 12 st and dc into the 13th st from your hook and in each st across. (42,44, 46, 48)
****continue to repeat this process of adding 4 to
each chain, and stopping and re-starting 2 st away
from last round’s chain until you’ve made a chain
that is (24, 28, 32, 36) st long. This will be at round
(6, 7, 8, 9). When finished, f/o and weave in ends.
Straps (make 8 total)
Ch (75, 85, 95, 105). F/o and leave a tail for sewing. Sew two straps to either corner of the last round of the top portion, and sew two straps to either corner of the last round of the bottom
portion. Sew two straps to the first round of either cup, on the short edge. Sew the last two straps to either end of the very first round of the top portion. Weave in all ends when finished.
