Little Turtle Amigurami – Approximating 10 cm long and 4 cm high, the turtle is perfect as a baby rattle, pendant for stroller chains, mobiles, or for the Maxicosi.
You may make your turtles with the assistance of the numerous photos and the extremely thorough directions.
Materials you’ll need

Head (mint green, 1x)

Finish the last round with one sl st in the next stitch. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Now you can stuff the head.
Eyes (black/white, 2x)
Start with black!

Finish the last round with one sl st in the next stitch. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing the eyes on the head later. With the white yarn, stitch two times in the middle of the eyes, so that a beautiful eye is created.
Front legs (mint green, 2x)

Fold the legs to a half circle and crochet the two sides together with slip stitches. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing the legs later.

With one leg, you pull the end through to the other side.

Do not work in the last 3 stitches, this is the place, where the head is going to be. Cut the yarn and sew it.

Stomach (white, 1x)
Round 1: Work in all 36 stitches from round 8 of the shield, also in those 3 stitches from round 8 we left unworked in round 9.
You start this round at the first stitch of round 8. Here you attach the yarn.
Work in the back loop only!

Round 2: 1 sc, 4 ch, skip 4 sts, 5 sc, 3 ch, skip 3 sts, 2 sc, 2 ch, skip 2 sts, 2 sc, 3 ch, skip 3 sts, 5 sc, 4 ch, skip 4 sts, 5 sc (36)

Round 3: *4 sc, dec* repeat 6x (30)
Round 4: *3 sc, dec* repeat 6x (24)
Now place the legs and the tail in the holes we made in round 1. Back legs at the place with 3 ch, front legs at the place with 4 ch and the tail at the place with 2 ch.

Start stuffing the body of the turtle. Round 5: *2 sc, dec* repeat 6x (18) Round 6: *1 sc, dec* repeat 6x (12) Round 7: *dec* (6)

Cut the yarn and leave a tail for sewing!
Sew the head at the place with the 3 sts place we made in round 8.
At the end you sew up the eyes on the side of the head. It can be helpful to fix the eyes with needles in the right position. In my case the eyes are placed on round 4-6 of the head.
