Crochet Tribal Yoga Top – This pattern will teach you how to crochet this piece to fit your DIVINE form and curves step by step.

Materials

  • Aran, 10ply, 80 – 100 meters. You will need more yarn for a bigger size. I used Cotton Aran Rico
  • Crochet hook size 4mm
  • Scissors & Yarn needle
  • Stitch markers

Below is the yarn that testers used.

XS – Oxford Super Sport pink (50g) & Red Heart Designer Sport crimson (85g)

XS – Premier yarn Home Aquamarine Speckle 85% cotton, 15% Polyester (2.1oz/ 60g) 105y/96m I used just under 1& 1/2 skeins.

S -Lily sugar n cream fruit punch(86m) & black current (109m)

M – Premier Home Cotton 85% cotton, 15% polyester 60g ball, 96m 105y, 1 Wine Splash #44-39 used approx half ball , 2 Grey Splash #44-20 used 1 full ball and a small amount from the 2nd ball for 2nd strap.

L – Berrocco Weekend, Peruvian cotton and acrylic mix, 250 yards or 115g or 200m
approx.

XL – Alize Cotton Gold Plus color 60-143010 100% cotton 160 grams, Candra

Neck part

I use Rico creative cotton aran no. 22

Row 1 – 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc across, turn total of 100dc, 100dc, 105dc, 110dc, 115dc, 120dc

Row 2 – Ch3 (to build up the yarn), dc2tog, 1dc in each st across, ending with dc2tog, turn, a total of 98dc, 98dc, 103dc, 108dc, 113dc, 118dc

Row 3 – Ch3 (to build up the yarn), dc2tog, 1dc in each of next 4 st, 2dc in next st, rep from across, no matter how many st you have left at this point You will end this row with dc2tog, turn, a total of 114dc, 114dc, 120dc, 126dc, 132dc,13®dc

R.4 rep R.3 total of 134dc

  • XXS – 4 rows total of 134dc

Connect the neck area now if You want to. I haven’t connected it yet on this piece and I connect it at the end.

Body part

Fold up the work and find the middle part. Mine is 67 (134 ÷ 2 = 67)

  • XXS – middle part is 67
  • XS – middle part is 67
  • S – middle part is 71
  • M – middle part is 74
  • L – middle part is 91
  • XL – middle part is 96

From the middle part count 25sts, 30sts, 30sts, 30sts, 40sts, 45sts to the left & right add the st markers. Do not forget to count the st at the middle. Meaning all number above +1st

Change color if you want to. I change color to Rico Creative Cotton aran no.59

Row 1 – Sl kn at the st marker on the right, 1dc in the next st, 1dc in each st across, ending with dc2tog, turn total of 49dc,59dc, 59dc, 59dc, 79dc,89dc

Row 2 – Ch3(to build up the yarn), 1dc in each st across, turn total of 49dc, 59dc, 59dc, 59dc, 79dc, 89dc

Row 3 – Ch3(to build up the yarn), dc2tog, 1dc in the next st, 1dc in each st across, ending with dc2tog, turn total of 47dc, 57dc, 57dc, 57dc, 77dc, 87dc

Increasing rows

Row 7 – Ch3(to build up the yarn), 2dc in 4th st from hook, 1dc in each st across, ending with 2dc in last st, turn total of 47dc, 57dc, 57dc, 57dc

Here will be R.9 – for L, XL (simply follow R.7 above) total of 75dc, 85dc

R.8 – R.14 rep R.7 (by increasing 2dc st each row) total of 61dc, 71dc, 71dc, 71dc, at R.14

For size M, L, XL will continue until R.16, simply follow R.7 of increasing rows. Total of 75dc, 89dc, 99dc at R.16.

Strap part

At the side body;

Row 1 – Ch3 (build up the yarn), 2dc in the space of last row (see image), turn

Row 2 – Ch3 (build up the yarn), 1dc in each of the next 2dc st, turn

Rep R.2 as long as You need. I have made 35rows. Suggestion of 35 – 40 rows.

Rep the strap part on the other side.

If You haven’t connected the ends of the neck area. Please connect it now.

You can use a yarn needle to connect it or simply sc 2 ends together like me.

Weave in all excess yarn and You are done 😻😻😻
