Watch this video to help get the best result of gauge swatch. Go down or up the hook size to match the gauge swatch if needed.
***This measurement is after blocked.***

This top is made to fit size XS/32B with the measurement.
Important:
- When working with natural material based, suggested to
block your swatch before starting the project.
- And right after finished the piece suggested to block again
if you want your piece to remain that way.
- Use the bra cup sizes below to compare/help with the body part from testers. (Scroll down the pages to see what testers have made)
Size (bra)
- XS – 34A,32B,34B,30C
- S – 36A,38A,36B,32C,34C,30D,32D,30DD
- M – 40A,38B,40B,36C,34D,32DD,34DD,30DDD,32DDD
- L – 38C,40C,36D,38D,40D,36DD,34DDD
- XL – 38DD,40DD,36DDD,38DDD,40DDD
Note: When you don’t find your size in the chart above or want to make the children size, simply follow the guideline of how to measure your body below.
In this pattern, I demonstrate size XS/32B
I will be using both green and white tops images to explain the instruction.
Finding the starting chains:
Measure across your shoulder part.

Then -2” from the number of measurements above. Make sure to pull the yarn to its fullest potential of stretch, yet not too tight!

You will need to make a long ch to match the number of your shoulder measurement after -2”
For example mine is 36” – 2” = 34”
Make a long ch of 100 (34”), sl st to form the ring in the first ch.
IMPORTANT:
- The pattern works in a spiral, there will be no ch at the beginning of the round.
- Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning st of the round. This way you can count the stitch in each round better.
- Round 2 is the preparation round for the lace pattern to start. The pattern is a multiple of 7, so in this round inc hdc evenly around the ring.
The collar:
Rnd 1 – hdc in the same where sl st, hdc in each st across, a total of 100 hdc
Rnd 2 – hdc in next st, hdc in each st across, *inc hdc to match up with the number of multiple of 7, a total of 112 hdc
Lace pattern: (it’s a multiple of 7)
Rnd 3 – sc in next st, *sk next 2sts, 6dc- shell in the next st, sk next 2sts, sc in each of next 2sts**, rep from*-** across, ending with sc in last st
(In Rnd 3 total of 128)
Rnd 4 – dc in next sc, *ch3, sk next 2dc, sc in each of next 2dc, ch3, sk next 2dc, dc in each of the next 2sc**, rep from*-** across, ending with dc in last sc
(In Rnd 4 total of 160)
Note:
In Rnd5, when making dc2tog please do as if you are doing 2-dc cluster. Watch this video to learn how (at min 1:26)
Rnd 5 – dc in next dc, *ch3, sk next ch3-space, dc2tog in next 2sc, ch3, sk next ch3-space, dc in each of next 2dc**, rep from*-** across, ending with dc in last dc
(In Rnd 5 total of 144)
Rnd 6 – sc in next dc, *3sc in next ch3-space, sc in next st, 3sc in next ch3-space, sc in each of next 2dc**, rep from*-** across, ending with sc in last dc
(In Rnd 6 total of 144)
Rnd 7 – sc in next sc, sk next 3sc, 6dc-shell in next sc, sk next 2sc, sc in each of the next 4sc, *sk next 2sc, 6dc-shell in next sc, sk next 2sc, sc in each of the next 4sc**, rep from*-** across, ending with sk 3sc, sc in last sc
(In Rnd 7 total of 158)
Rnd 8 – dc in next sc, *ch3, sk next 2dc, sc in each of next 2dc, ch3, sk next 2dc, dc in each of next 4sc**, rep from*-** across, ending with dc in last sc
(In Rnd 8 total of 190)
Rnd 9 – sc in next dc, *3sc in next ch3-space, sc in each of next 2sc, 3sc in next ch3-space, sc in each of next 4dc**, rep from*-** across, ending with sc in last dc
(In Rnd 9 total of 190)

AFTER FINISH THE COLLAR YOUR COLLAR SHOULD SIT THE WAY IT SITS ON ME IN THE IMAGE BELOW.

Finding the position for armholes:
The best way to find the right spot to make the armhole is to put on the yoke around your neck (see image above).
I like to have a shell st, at the centre of my chest. Then add stitch markers on both sides as shown in photo above.
Now lay your work on the floor (see image below), count the stitch from one stitch marker to the other, write it down. And make the match by following below.
50 sts at the front
50 sts at the back
45 sts in each armhole = 90 sts
50 + 50 + 90 = 190 sts
Now add stitch markers in 4 spots, the green dots are the area of the armhole,The backside is where the beginning of each round. I do not cut the yarn, I work from the backside and keep counting the st from there each round.

Making it fit you perfectly by finding the right rounds to dec.
I suggest you keep wearing your piece on and see/check the length and the width.
Tips:
- After Rnd3, try it on and see. Likely you have to dec here to match the number of your bra cup.
Example, My breast at the fullest part is 34.5”. Around Rnd4 and Rnd5, my work measured 17.2” when laying flat = 34.4” when I’m wearing it. It’s because I started the dec from Rnd3.

- You may need to do more or less dec, but when you get the right start from the number calculation above, it will be very easy to navigate your dec.
- Modify the dec & non-dec Rnds as you go. DO NOT FOLLOW MY MEASUREMENT. It’s there only for guidelines and not to copy. Each one has a very different type of body.
- Make more rounds if you need longer on the body part.
***Scroll down the pages to see what testers made.***
VERY IMPORTANT!
This design IS NOT AN OFF-SHOULDER TOP!
You need to pull down the collar and make it sit like so.
Rnd9 of the collar should be right above your breast and not lower or higher.

The body:
We are continuing from the collar without cutting the yarn.
Please from now on counting the st each round.
Rnd 1 – hdc in next st, hdc in each st across until arriving at the stitch marker, ch23, sk the armhole area (green dots), hdc again in the next stitch marker, hdc in each st across (front part), ch23, sk the armhole area (green dots), hdc again in the next stitch marker, hdc in each st across, ending with hdc in last st of the round, a total of 146 sts
Ch23 = 6”
At this point, you can make longer ch (scroll down to see what testers made). But do not make it too long as it will effect the fit of the top.

The calculation: 50 + 50 + 46 (ch23 x2) = 146 sts
The body part required hdc2tog, you may want to do the invisible hdc2tog to prevent bump on your work. Watch the video to learn how (at min 6:37)
Rnd 2 & Rnd 3 – hdc in each st across, a total of 146 sts in this round

Rnd 4 (DEC) – hdc across but DEC 12sts along the way by hdc2tog evenly 12 times across the round, a total of 134 sts left in this round
Rnd 5 – hdc in each st across, a total of 134 sts in this round
Rnd 6 (DEC) – hdc across but DEC 9sts along the way by hdc2tog evenly 9 times across the round, a total of 125 sts left in this round
Rnd 7 – hdc in each st across, a total of 125 sts in this round
Rnd 8 (DEC) – hdc across but DEC 6sts along the way by hdc2tog evenly 6 times across the round, a total of 119 sts left in this round
Rnd 9 – Rnd 12 – hdc in each st across, a total of 119 sts in this round
Rnd 13 (DEC) – hdc across but DEC 6sts along the way by hdc2tog evenly 6 times across the round, a total of 113 sts left in this round
Rnd 14 – hdc in each st across, a total of 113 sts in this round
Rnd 15 (DEC) – hdc across but DEC 6sts along the way by hdc2tog evenly 6 times across the round, a total of 107 sts left in this round
Rnd 16 – hdc in each st across, a total of 107 sts in this round
Rnd 17 (DEC) – hdc across but DEC 6sts along the way by hdc2tog evenly 6 times across the round, a total of 101 sts left in this round
Rnd 18 – hdc in each st across, a total of 101 sts in this round
Rnd 19 (DEC) – hdc across but DEC 5sts along the way by hdc2tog evenly 5 times across the round, a total of 96 sts left in this round
Rnd 20 – hdc in each st across, a total of 96 sts in this round Rnd 21 (DEC) – hdc across but DEC 5sts along the way by hdc2tog evenly 5 times across the round, a total of 91 sts left in this round
Note: If on round 21 your total number of st is not a multiple of 7, DEC more to get the right number of multiple 7
Rnd 22 – hdc in each st across, a total of 91 sts in this round
The edge: (multiple of 7)
Rnd 23 – sc in next st, *sk next 2sts, 6dc- shell in the next st, sk next 2sts, sc in each of next 2sts**, rep from*-** across, ending with sc in last st, sl st in the next, ch1, cut the yarn
Finishing the armhole:
At the WS, sl kn under the armhole, ch1, sc in each st across MAKE SURE NOT TO ADD MORE ST, sl st at the beginning, ch1, cut the yarn
Rep the same procedure on the other side.
If you want to have a perfect fit, make sure to do the dec round right.
