Drawstring/Strap

For the drawstring/strap, we’ll make our shoulder strap by making our desired length x two. For example, if I want my strap to be 30″,I’ll make my strap chains to 60″ end to end.

Make the ch until it reaches about 60 inches, Turn, 1 sl st into the back bump of the second ch from the hook, 1 sl st into the back bump of each ch across, cut the yarn and leave about an 8″ long tail.

Adding the drawstring strap into the crochet bag

Thread the drawstring into the bag at the first ch 1 sp in round 36 and continue counter clockwise around the bag.

Weave the drawstring through each loop all the way around the bag and then sew the ends of the drawstring together
