When I created this piece I wanted something that was not only comfortable but empowering in style. This Posh Cape Jacket can be worn for an office professional look or for a casual afternoon coffee date. It’s simplistic yet striking.
High fashion isn’t always about what you can buy, but what you hand style for a personal look. It’s about something that comes from within you.
This project also gives a unique opportunity for zen crochet with purpose. The easy repeats allow you to crochet in peace, enjoy the project, and unwind.

Create EMPOWERMENT
- The chain 2 counts as the first stitch in row. On return row hdc in top of chain 2.
- Use H hook for body, G hook is used for the collar.
- This cape is made as a circle style poncho with slots for hands through the front. The underneath front flap edge will curl a bit even after blocking and helps keep the cape draped together.
- Blocking is recommended for finished look and drape.

| Sewing on buttons: The holes for the buttons on front top are small so the buttons don’t slide around. Slide them through a couple of times and the yarn will adjust around them and will be easier to find when worn. Blocking: This is a large garment to block but taking the time to do so will result in clean finished look. Blocking mats work best for the front edges to block aggressively but not needed for the entire cape. Place on a clean floor space or bed and either wet or steam block. | ||
