Crochet Pattern Ribbed Knit Pullover Sweater: Free Tutorial

Crochet Sweater is a thick ribbed knit pullover with an oversized, loose shape. An really comfortable and pleasant layer to add to your wardrobe. Uses weight 6 yarn, a 15mm hook (substitute if necessary to reach gauge), and a 10mm hook.

Skill level : easy

Hook:

  • 15.0 mm (substitute if needed to achieve gauge)
  • 10.0 mm (only for neckline finishing)

Yarn :

  • weight 6 super bulky designed with Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick
  • small/medium (US 0 – 10) 636 yards
  • large/x-large (US 12 – 22) 848 yards

Gauge:

  • 4” x 4” = 6 S x 8 R
  • single crochet front loop only

The front, back, and sleeves are worked flat and then stitched together. Sizes are shown on pattern as separate pages.

Place front and back of sweater together with right sides facing up. Using a darning needle, long piece of yarn, and the mattress stitch technique, stitch the shoulder seams together.

Continuing with right sides facing up, line sleeves up with stitched up shoulder seams and stitch together using the mattress stitch technique.

Stitch together the sleeve seams and side seams using the mattress stitch technique. Using a 10.0 mm hook, sl st (slip stitch) around the neckline for a clean + sturdy edge. Weave in ends.
