This beginner friendly pattern is in eight different size: 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years, 3-4 years, 5-6 years, 7-8 years, 9-10 years. Purchase one pattern and crochet as many as you wish for the ones you love.
Skill level of the pattern is very easy. The pattern is detailed with easy to follow directions, includes many pictures and stitch counts to help explain.
Yarn: Baby safe yarn in Size 3/DK/Light worsted.
You will need around
315/370/410/550/610/730/860/910 yards or 290/340/380/510/560/670/790/840 m yarn.
Crochet hook : Size E / 3,5 mm. If it is bigger size than you prefer you can size down your hook, if it is too small than you can size up your hook.
Gauge: 17 stitches x 8 rows per 4”/10cm square in double crochet stitches.

Loosely make 123/ 135/ 147/ 159/ 171/ 183/ 195/ 205 chain stitches. Start crocheting into 2nd chain stitch from the hook, single crochet into chain stitches. Total 122/ 134/ 146/ 158/ 170/ 182/ 194/ 204 stitches.
Row 2 – Row 4 for size 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months 3 more rows
Row 2 – Row 5 for size 1-2 years, 3-4 years, 5-6 years 4 more rows
Row 2 – Row 6 for size 7-8 years, 9-10 years 5 more rows
Turn, chain 1, single crochet 1 into first stitch, skip 1 stitch, single crochet through the row until last 2 stitches, skip 1 stitch, single crochet 1 into last stitch.
Fasten off after last row, weave in yarn ends.
Marking dress top, front and back panels
Dress top panels are worked separately over straps and joined together.
Mark 22/ 24/ 26/ 28/ 30/ 32/ 34/ 34 stitches on the center of each strap.

Join yarn into first marked stitch. Chain 3, start crocheƟng into same stitch.

Leaving yarn tail long enough for joining, fasten off first piece.
Repeat the same over the second strap, but this time do not fasten off.
Joining dress top front and back panels
Round 1
Join both pieces by slip stitch over first double crochet stitch on dress first side.
Use the yarn tail and tapestry needle to join the second side. We will skip from one chain space to next chain space on next round. You can use the yarn tail to close up if there is a big opening on the joining line of second side
Back to first side with crochet hook, turn, chain 3, skip 2 stitches, [double crochet 3 into chain space, chain 2, double crochet 1 more into same space,skip to next chain space] repeat through first piece.
Total 11/ 12/ 13/ 14/ 15/ 16/ 17/ 17 shell stitches worked over first piece.
Skip to first chain space on second piece and work the same over second piece. Join the round by slip stitch over first double crochet stitch of the round.
Total 11+11=22/12+12=24/13+13=26/14+14=28/15+15=30/16+16=32/17+17=34/17+17=34 shell stitches.
From now on, we will join each round by slip stitch over first double crochet stitch of the round. It may be practical to mark the beginning of the round. ❤
