Amigurami Totoro Pattern Free Tutorial Step By Step

Written crochet pattern on how to make a cute Totoro pattern tutorial step by step.

What you need:

Small Totoro:

  • Crochet hook C (2.5 mm)
  • 50g white, 100-150g grey superfine/Fingerin (1) yarn and Black for pupils. (I used Rainbow Cotton 8/4 from Hobbii.com)
  • Fiber filling
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch Marker

Big Totoro:

  • Crochet hook J (6 mm)
  • 500g Superbulky (5/6) yarn in grey, 100g in white and black for pupils. (I used chunky Honey Bunny from Hobbii.com)
  • Fiber filling (maybe two pillows)
  • Big yarn needle.
  • Stitch marker
  • Scissors

The black part:

Slst and cut thread long enough for sewing.

Sew the two pieces together, with the black part in the middle. Then sew the eyes between R14 an R21 with about 12sc apart. (see pictures for reference)

Embroidery

  • Nose: Sew a black line using double black thread between R18 and R19 about 4sc long.
  • Whiskers: Embroider two or three lines with 1 row apart, starting from R23.
  • Stomach Lines: Embroider Three “arrow shaped” lines on the upper part of the white Circle on the stomach, then four underneath (See picture for reference)
