Amigurami Reindeer Pattern Medium Size: Step By Step Tutorial

Amigurami Reindeer Pattern Medium Size – Pictures and directions make the design easy to follow. About 35 centimeters tall are my reindeer.

I’ve used about one and a half skeins (95 meters/100 grammes) of the primary color chenille yarn.

You will need:

Yarn in desired colour I have used chenille yarn (Aldi brand) and used 2no of sekin, crochet hook 4mm.

Needle Polyester fibrefill stuffing Optionally pipe cleaner for horns, Plastic nose and eyes, I have used different sizes for different thickness of the yarn, smaller one 10mm, bigger 14mm.

Observation:

Notes: Do not join at the end of each round; rounds are worked in continuous spirals or otherwise stated. Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round. Move the marker up each time you start a new round.

  • 1: Starting from the top of the neck, Make chain 14, slst to the first chain creating a ring (14)

  • f/o leaving long tail to sew the hole later on. We create the holes in the bottom of the body for legs.

Front legs

  • 1: staring in the front hole make 13sc (13) 2 – 9: 13sc – fill the leg as required tip: make all four legs first in main colour, then change colour and stuff after.
  • That way is easier to make second leg. 10: change the colour for the desired one for the bottom of the legs, BLO 13sc, 11: dec x 6, 1sc
  • f/o leaving tail and sew the hole

Back legs

  • 1: starting in the back hole make 18sc (18) 2: 18sc
  • 3: (7sc, dec) x 2 (16)

  • 5-9: 14sc – stuff the leg as required 10: change the colour, BLO 14sc 11: dec x 6
  • f/o leaving tail and sew the hole

Now add the staffing to the body as required and sew the middle hole.

Tail

Scarf

I make my scarf with knitting with 12sc, but you can crochet as well just make 12sc and dc with the desired length.
