Side Seams
Fold top so that the half-stripes at the cast-on and cast-off edges are showing right-side up. (Stocki- nette stitch will be showing on the first and last half-stripes, reverse stockinette and stockinette will be alternated across the top).
Using a tapestry needle sew side seams starting at the bottom edge and working up. Stop 6.5, (7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5)” from the top to leave a 13, (14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19)” armhole opening. Repeat for other side seam.
Neckline:
Using the shorter circular needle, pick up sts starting at center front as follows:
4 sts at center stripe, 5 sts per stripe going up the right front, 10, (10, 12, 12, 13, 15, 15) sts along shoulder, 5 sts per stripe on angled part of back neckline,
4 sts per stripe on straight part of back neckline, 5 sts per stripe on angled part of back neckline, 10, (10, 12, 12, 13, 15, 15) sts along shoulder, 5 sts per stripe going down the left front.
Join to work the neckline in round. Knit 3 rounds. Cast off loosely in knit.
Weave in all ends. To block, soak in warm water and lay flat to dry. You may steam to help stockinette and reverse stockinette stripes lay flat.
