Continue this process of increasing in the middle and end of your rectangle until you reach a total of (143, 151, 159, 167) st. This should be reached at round (23, 23, 27, 27).

Rounds (24-49, 24-49, 28-53, 28-53) (25 rounds total): Ch 2, turn, dc in next st and in each st across. (143, 151, 159, 167).

*at this point, if you would like a longer dress, continue adding rounds to achieve your desired length. 5 rows = 2 inches added.

At this point, fold your large rectangle in half the long way without fastening off (your first st of the last round should be touching your last st of the last round (the one with your hook still attached)).

With your hook still attached to your last st, insert your hook into the first st of the last round, and sc both st together to join.

Position your rectangle so that your hook is facing the rest of the edges that are lined up together. You will now be working into the sides of all of your previous rounds. Insert your hook into the side of both dc stitches directly next to your hook. Sc through both stitches to join the edges together.

Continue to sc through both edges across, doing your best to approximate where the stitches should go. When you reach the last of the edges (when you are back to your very first row), fasten off and weave in ends.

Straps (make 2)

Round 1: On the foundation ch row, sl st into the 9th st away from your sc-connection line. (for the 2nd strap this will also be 9 st away but on the opposite side of the sc-connection line). Ch (42, 45, 48, 51). Count an additional (34, 36, 38, 40) st away from where you sl st into (this will be 43, 45, 47, 49 st away from the sc-connection line). Sl st into this st, and fasten off, weave in ends.

Enjoy!
